Imagine Easter is just around the corner and the stores of a large retail company need to be stocked with suitable products.
Books about Easter traditions, cute plush bunnies or decorative gift ideas - but which items really fit the theme perfectly? And above all: which ones sell best?

Without detailed product knowledge, the compilation often became a laborious trial-and-error task in which valuable working time was lost.
But what if this process could not only be automated, but also specifically optimized to increase sales and profits?

This is exactly where our innovative nedyx solution comes in: An AI-supported application that uses data to suggest the perfect product selection for themed tables - in seconds instead of hours.

The solution: Automated product selection

In order to optimize the time-consuming process of selecting the right products, the company was looking for a solution that would help employees choose the right products more quickly. The solution: a smart application based on the nedyx low-code platform.

In close cooperation with the company, a business app was developed that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and an SAP HANA database to automatically suggest the best products for the respective topic tables.

How does it work?
  • Employees enter a topic (e.g. "Easter" or "Motivation") in the application.
  • An API request is sent to a Python script that accesses SAP HANA.
  • The AI analyzes the product range and determines the most relevant items.
  • The results can be sorted by contribution margin or sales volume so that the most profitable products are displayed first.
  • The stores receive an automatically generated product recommendation that can be used immediately for the design of the theme table.
